Partnering for Edible Landscapes
Edible landscaping is a rapidly spreading idea around the world, switching from ornamentals to edibles - plants that give back by not only looking good, but also providing fresh, delicious produce to consume. The best motto: EAT YOUR YARD !
Transition Bay St Magarets has partnered with two local non-profit groups in the Spring 2014 to install edible landscapes. These projects occurred following our successful and sold-out Edible Landscaping Workshop that took place in early May 2014.

St. Luke's United Church
St Luke's Church, 5374 St Margarets Bay Rd, Upper Tantallon, installed a well-designed plan including cherry trees, blueberry bushes, raspberry and blackberry bushes, Rosa regosa (rose hips), rhubard and many types of edible perennials.
Aspotogan Heritage Trust
At the Aspotogan Heritage Trust site, we implemented a well-designed plan including cherry trees, plum trees, blueberry bushes, raspberry and blackberry bushes, Rosa regosa (rose hips), rhubard and many types of edible perennials with an understory of white Dutch clover.
